Oh What Fun Washington Weather We Are Having!

We have had some very interesting weather in our neck of the woods over the past month. First more snow then we normally ever get in the lowlands, and just recently, plenty of rain and flooding. Last night we got a call from the City of Puyallup, asking that all residents in our area evacuate their homes as soon as possible due to possible flooding. That has never happened here before! Anthony was not home from work when I got the first round of information, the kids were screaming and fighting, and I had been working on a new recipe and had it almost finished. For those who know me well, can imagine that I was a bit stressed and so very thankful when Anth walked through the door. We were blessed to have our good friends, Jim and Lyndi, offer their home to us to stay the night. We all had a big slumber party on the floor and the kids loved that! We are back home now, and though we have a bit of flooding in our garage, it could have been much worse. Driving home and seeing just how far the river had risen, was an amazing sight. A local apartment complex and a few other businesses were flooded pretty badly. But all in all, we have made it out of this round of weather well. We pray this finds everyone well and enjoying our New Year.
